Macquarie Street Foodstore is a long established cafe in South Hobart catering to a wide variety of food types including vegetarian, gluten free & dairy free. Situated within a walking distance to Jane Franklin Hall, Cascade Brewery, Female Factory and a 10 minute walk from the Hobart CBD, their location is very convenient to the surrounding residential area as well as the working community.
Parking is conveniently located near Macquarie Street Foodstore which makes it easily accessible for those looking for a quick meal or coffee as well as the established regular patrons and for group bookings. Both an all day breakfast and lunch menu are offered as well the ability to cater to specific groups. Prices are extremely affordable which has attracted a huge base of regular customers both during the week and on the weekends. A selection of cakes, sweet treats, pies, sausage rolls and other quick meals are readily available and are all made in house.
There is an upstairs function room available for meetings, parties and other events which offers privacy and an intimate space. The staff are extremely friendly and have been employed for many years which is great for a personalised service.

I pass through Macquarie Street Foodstore at least 3 times / week on my way to work. Every time I walk in I am greeted with a very warm welcome from Mike. The coffee is great and the food is served very fast. Always very busy on the weekends with a lot of locals from South Hobart.
